I Am Here - Birth Story

Today Mom and Dad are going to meet me today. So after an entire night of one medicine, Dr. Arze checked Mom in the morning and nothing. They decided to induce Mom anyway. Once she got the induction drug and IV, she started to progress like a champ and thought that I would be here very soon. However, after a couple of hours of progressing great, we hit a wall The doctor then took away my water bed by "breaking Mom's water". Mom was getting stressed and was in pain, so she finally got what is called an epidural. I don't know what it is but she certainly wasn't as stressed anymore. After several hours and discussing with the doctor, Mom and Dad decided to do a C-Section. During the C-Section, it was discovered that Mom had a fibroid blocking the birth canal. That must have been that wall I was up against. I was not happy to come out, but I was happy to see Mom and Dad when the nurses laid me on my Mommy's chest. I was born on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at 6:45 PM EST. They told me how much they loved me and how I was their little miracle from God. I am now very happy to be here.

I then got to meet the rest of family. Mommy and Daddy's parents and siblings were there. Everyone got to see and hold me. I am so excited and can't wait to get to know everyone. Oh, here are a few pictures of me:
